Sampa the Great

Sampa the Great is a Zambian singer, rapper, and songwriter known for her work across hip-hop, soul, and R&B. Based in Australia from 2014 to 2020, she achieved significant commercial and critical success with her debut album The Return, which peaked at No. 12 on the ARIA Albums Chart. Her accolades include multiple ARIA Music Awards wins including Best Hip Hop Release, Best Female Artist, and Best Independent Release. In 2020, she became the first artist to win the Australian Music Prize twice, for the albums Birds and the Bee9 and The Return. Since late 2020, she has been based in Zambia, where she released her second studio album As Above, So Below.
