About the event
Against The Grain Festival is a day-long indie and alternative rock event at The Princess Theatre in Brisbane, featuring eight acts spanning indie rock, post-punk, experimental electronic, and garage rock styles. The lineup includes British-French art pop pioneers Stereolab, Australian indie rock bands Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Hatchie, and The Belair Lip Bombs, American post-punk band Protomartyr, Swiss reggae and ska group Open Season, and experimental rock performers. The festival brings together a diverse range of contemporary and established artists representing alternative and independent music movements.
