The Western Bulldogs are a professional Australian rules football club based in the Melbourne suburb of Footscray, competing in the Australian Football League (AFL). Originally founded as the Footscray Football Club in 1877, the club joined the AFL in 1925. The Bulldogs have won two VFL/AFL premierships, in 1954 and 2016, and were runners-up in 1961 and 2021. Their AFLW side, one of the competition's foundation clubs, won the premiership in 2018. The club's offices and training facilities are located at Whitton Oval, with home games played at Marvel Stadium.
