Kokoroko is a British London-based septet led by Sheila Maurice-Grey and Onome Edgeworth, performing a fusion of funk and highlife with afrobeat and jazz influences. The group gained prominence in 2019 when their track "Abusey Junction" became widely recognized, winning Track of the Year at Gilles Peterson's Worldwide Awards and earning them recognition as ones to watch by major music publications.
