Nathan Evans is a Scottish singer who rose to fame in 2020 by posting sea shanty videos on TikTok. His viral rendition of the traditional folk song 'Wellerman' topped the UK Singles Chart and accumulated over half a billion streams globally. Originally a mail carrier from a small town outside Glasgow, Evans signed a three-album deal with Universal Records following his viral breakthrough. His debut album Wellerman - The Album was released in 2022 and achieved success across Europe, while his subsequent album 1994 featured the UK chart-climbing single 'Heather On The Hill'. Known for blending traditional Scottish instruments with contemporary folk-pop sensibilities, Evans performs with the Saint PHNX Band and has appeared at major festivals and venues including Glasgow's OVO Hydro Arena.
