Strung Out is an American melodic hardcore band from Simi Valley, California, formed in 1991. Their sound blends punk and heavy metal elements, characterized by hook-heavy melodies and high-speed riffs. The band has released nine studio albums on Fat Wreck Chords along with live albums, B-sides collections, and compilations. Known as one of the most explosive live bands in punk rock, Strung Out is recognized for their tight, direct performances with no wasted moments. They have charted on the Billboard 200, performed on the Warped Tour, and continue to tour internationally. Their landmark 1996 album Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues remains a defining record for punk fans.
