Gorillaz

Gorillaz is an English virtual band formed in 1998 by musician Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett. The project features four fictional animated characters: 2-D, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle, and Russel Hobbs. The band blends electronic music, hip hop, alternative rock, and art pop into genre-defying compositions, presenting their universe through music videos, interviews, comic strips, and animated content. Albarn serves as the only permanent musical contributor, while Gorillaz has collaborated with numerous featured artists throughout their career. The project uniquely combines music with visual storytelling and animated characters.
