Icehouse

Icehouse are an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 1977 originally as Flowers. The band achieved mainstream success playing new wave and synth-pop music, attaining Top 10 singles chart success in Australia, Europe, and the United States. Led by Iva Davies as the mainstay throughout both incarnations, the band is known for timeless hits including Great Southern Land, Crazy, and Electric Blue. With over 45 years of music and 28 times Platinum albums, Icehouse remains one of Australia's most iconic bands. The name Icehouse was adopted in 1981, inspired by an old, cold flat Davies lived in and a distinctive building across the road.
