Public Image Ltd is an English post-punk band formed in June 1978 by lead vocalist John Lydon, guitarist Keith Levene, bassist Jah Wobble, and drummer Jim Walker. Known for their innovative fusion of post-punk, art punk, dub, and experimental rock, the band has maintained a variable lineup throughout their career with Lydon as the sole constant member. Their influential sound incorporates elements of alternative rock, new wave, and krautrock, establishing them as pioneers in the post-punk genre.
