About

American singer, poet, writer, actress and self-empowerment speaker. Lydia Lunch emerged as a pioneering figure in the 1970s New York City no wave scene as the singer and guitarist of Teenage Jesus and the Jerks. Known for her work across alternative rock, deathrock, experimental rock, gothic rock, no wave, noise rock, post-punk and punk blues, Lunch established a lifelong creative relationship with synth-punk duo Suicide, frequently performing with vocalist Alan Vega and multi-instrumentalist Martin Rev. She has continued to perform tribute shows honoring Vega's legacy following his death in 2016, often collaborating with other artists to celebrate the music and confrontational spirit of 1970s New York's underground scene.
