BTS is a South Korean boy band formed in 2010, consisting of seven members: Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook. Originally starting as a hip hop group, they have expanded their musical style across dance, K-pop, and pop genres. The members co-write and co-produce much of their material. Their lyrics explore themes including mental health, coming of age, self-love, individualism, and the consequences of fame. Their work incorporates references to literature, philosophy, and psychology, and includes an alternate universe storyline.
