Christine Anu is an acclaimed Australian singer-songwriter and actress of Torres Strait Islander origin. She gained international recognition with her 1995 cover of 'My Island Home,' which many Australians regard as an unofficial national anthem. With 17 ARIA nominations and a platinum-selling album Stylin' Up, Anu has built a 27-year career spanning music, theatre, film, and television. Her notable acting credits include roles in Hollywood blockbusters Moulin Rouge and The Matrix Reloaded, and stage performances in Rent and Little Shop of Horrors. She performed at the Sydney 2000 Olympics Closing Ceremony and has appeared in television series including The Alice and Outland.
