Melanie C is an English singer and songwriter who rose to fame in the mid-1990s as a member of the Spice Girls, where she was known as Sporty Spice. The Spice Girls became the best-selling female group of all time with over 100 million records sold worldwide. Following the group's indefinite hiatus in 2000, she has pursued a solo career in pop music. She is recognized for her distinctive vocal tone and singing ability. The group reunited for a greatest hits album in 2007 and concert tours including the Return of the Spice Girls (2007-2008) and Spice World (2019).
