MICO

MICO is a Filipino-Canadian alt-pop singer and songwriter born Miguel Veloso. At 23 years old, he has rapidly emerged as one of alternative pop's most compelling new voices, amassing over 300 million global streams and cultivating a fanbase of over 1.8 million followers. Inspired by late-2000s pop-punk with modern, genre-jumping production, MICO built his audience through deeply personal songwriting, explosive live performances, and authentic connection with fans online and offline. Born and raised in Toronto as the fourth of five siblings, he began by learning guitar and sharing covers on Discord before self-releasing original tracks starting with 'who do you love' in 2019. After signing with Columbia Records, he earned a 2026 JUNO Award nomination for Breakthrough Artist or Group of the Year and was named Spotify's RADAR Canada Artist of the Month.
