Nouvelle Vague

Nouvelle Vague is a French cover band led by musicians Olivier Libaux and Marc Collin. The band reinterprets post-punk and new wave classics through bossa nova arrangements, creating distinctive covers of songs by artists including Joy Division, Buzzcocks, The Cure, The Clash, Depeche Mode, and The Dead Kennedys. Their name references the French New Wave cinema movement of the 1960s, the new wave music movement of the 1970s and 1980s, and bossa nova, the primary musical style in their arrangements. Known for their effortlessly chic and modern approach, Nouvelle Vague has become recognized for reimagining familiar tracks with sultry rhythms and a distinctly French sensibility.
